Respite Care - Care for the Carer

Whilst it is widely accepted that family and community networks have become increasingly fragmented over the years, there are still many situations where the "Care Provider" is a family member, relative or friend.

The undertaking of such a role can often become stressful, which often goes undetected until such time that the Care Provider's own health becomes adversely affected.

Regular rest periods can help to maintain a carer's efficiency and very often strengthens the relationship with loved ones too, as whilst they may be wholly committed to the relief they provide, the work they undertake is often demanding exhausting.
